FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
General Questions
How much does a swimming pool cost?
The cost of a swimming pool varies based on several factors, including:
- Pool Type – Vinyl vs. Shotcrete
- Size & Depth – Larger or deeper pools require more materials and labor
- Permitting Requirements – Each county has different permit fees and approval processes
- Soil Conditions – Unexpected underground conditions like rock or high water tables may impact excavation
- Weather Delays – Rain or other conditions can affect the timeline and cost
Every pool project is unique, so we recommend scheduling a free consultation to discuss your specific needs.
How long does it take to build a pool?
The actual construction process typically takes 8–12 weeks, but this timeframe begins only after design, engineering, and permits are secured. The overall timeline may vary based on:
- Permitting & Inspections – Different counties have different approval processes
- Weather Conditions – Rain can delay excavation and concrete work
- Complexity of the Pool Design – Custom features, spas, and larger pools require more time
- Material Availability – Tile, decking, and other finishes can affect timing
Most of our pools include excavation, plumbing, installation, and 4 feet of decking. Landscaping, fencing, and additional features may extend the timeline.
Do you handle permits, or do I need to take care of that?
We handle all necessary permits to ensure compliance with local building codes. Each county has different requirements, and we take care of the application, inspections, and approvals for you.
Do you offer saltwater or chlorine pools?
Yes! We build both saltwater and chlorine pools.
- Saltwater Pools – Lower maintenance, softer on skin, and fewer harsh chemicals.
- Chlorine Pools – Cost-effective, traditional option with easier chemical control.
We can discuss the pros and cons of each system during your consultation to find the best fit for your needs.
Do you provide landscaping and fencing?
We focus on excavation, plumbing, pool installation, and 4 feet of decking. However, if you need landscaping, fencing, or additional hardscaping, we can connect you with trusted contractors or handle it as an add-on service.
Pool Construction & Materials
What is the difference between a shotcrete pool and a vinyl pool?
- Shotcrete Pools – Made from high-strength concrete sprayed over a reinforced steel framework, allowing for custom shapes and long-term durability.
- Vinyl Pools – Use a prefabricated liner over a structured frame, offering a lower upfront cost but requiring liner replacements over time.
Shotcrete pools are more durable, fully customizable, and last longer, while vinyl pools provide an affordable option with quicker installation.
Can I add custom features to my pool?
Yes! We can integrate a variety of custom features, including:
- Tanning Ledges & Beach Entries – Perfect for lounging
- Waterfalls & Sheer Descents – Adds elegance and movement
- Spillover Spas – Integrated spa and pool combinations
- LED Lighting – Multicolor lighting for a modern look
- Fire Features – Fire bowls and fireplaces for a resort feel
Discuss your ideas with us, and we’ll design a custom solution that fits your space and budget.
Do I need a retaining wall for my pool?
Retaining walls are necessary if your property has a slope or elevation changes that could impact pool construction. If a retaining wall is required, we’ll determine the best solution during the site assessment.
What type of pool equipment do you install?
We use high-quality, energy-efficient equipment from brands like Hayward, Jandy, and Pentair. This includes:

Pool Maintenance & Care
How can I keep my pool water clear?
Proper filtration, circulation, and water chemistry are key to clear water. Follow these steps:
- Run the Pump Daily – At least 6–8 hours for proper filtration
- Check & Balance Chemicals – Maintain proper pH (7.2–7.8), chlorine, and alkalinity
- Clean the Filter Regularly – A clogged filter reduces efficiency
- Use a Pool Cover – Reduces debris and evaporation
If you need professional pool maintenance, we can recommend a trusted service provider.
How often should I clean my pool filter?
- Cartridge Filters – Clean every 2–4 weeks
- Sand Filters – Backwash when pressure rises 8–10 PSI above normal
- Diatomaceous Earth (DE) Filters – Backwash monthly, deep clean every 6 months
Regular maintenance extends the life of your filter and improves water clarity.
